Mavericks vs Jazz Prediction Mavericks vs Jazz Prediction

As the Dallas Mavericks have slowly shown that they can continue contending with any team throughout the early part of this season, their opponents in Utah are on a mission to tank for the first pick during their lottery. With Dallas coming off a tough 3-point loss against Golden State, Utah just lost their 8th game during 10 to start the year. This matchup will occur on November 15th at 7:30 P.M. IST in Delta Center of Salt Lake City. Underneath are our betting tips, player props, vital injuries, and recent head-to-head matchups to create a potential outcome for this matchup.

Mavericks vs Jazz Key Betting Tips & Predictions

1. Dallas Mavericks vs Utah Jazz Moneyline Pick

Seeing that the Mavericks have a -303 moneyline for this game, it has to be taken due to the fact they have a greater player at most positions. As more of the complete team as well, Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving will lead this backcourt, which Collin Sexton and Keyonte George will try to outscore. Although the greatness of Jordan Clarkson has been huge, it will not be much to stop Klay Thompson from firing away from three and closing out on Cody Williams. As this game will also have a pretty solid deal between the big men, the Mavs should win those matchups, and their 7th money line in 8 matchups vs Utah.

2. Dallas Mavericks vs Utah Jazz Point Spread Pick

With Dallas having a spread of -6.5 during this matchup it should be taken as they will have a great performance on both sides of the court. As Luka Doncic continues to try and build his MVP case this season, he has been one of their two main leaders while going up against a much weaker defender in Keyonte George. Having someone like Doncic who is known for miraculous plays, he will continue being helped by Kyrie Irving as his partner in the backcourt. Seeing that Irving has the elite ability to create off the dribble and screens, his ability to drive in plus look out for other teammates is something he will be able to have a massive advantage over Collin Sexton. As Klay Thompson should keep knocking down shots against Cody Williams, Lauri Markkanen should help Utah have an advantage over Naji Marshall and continue scoring at a fast pace. Meanwhile, John Collins and Walker Kessler will try to match up against much faster plus bigger Derreck Lively II in addition to Daniel Gafford. All in all, the Mavericks should control this game at their own will and the -6.5 is an absolute must during this matchup on Dallas’s side.

3. Dallas Mavericks vs Utah Jazz Over/Under Pick (Total Points)

As the over/under in this game is at 230 points, both teams have a lot of scoring options that could continue their amazing seasons. With the Jazz having a solid backcourt that’s led by their two shooting guards in scoring, they also have one of the most efficient scorers outside or inside at power forward. As their backup center has shown a lot of promise as well, the Mavericks side will once again be led by the combination of their elite point guard and shooting guard. Having added a small forward specifically for threes, while having two centers who could put in buckets, this should be a very high-scoring game. Knowing that they combined for 212 points last time out, this is a lot different since almost everyone is healthy and improved into this part of the season.

Dallas Mavericks vs Utah Jazz Top Player Props

Luka Doncic over 29.5 points at 1.85: As Luka Doncic gets a sizeable advantage on Keyonte George in this game, his scoring prowess should continue helping this roster out. Someone who will dominate no matter wherever George goes, he should end up having one of the best nights of this season. Seeing that, Luka should hit well over his 28.5 points per game average this season.

Lauri Markkanen over 7.5 rebounds at 1.80: Although Dallas should have an advantage in rebounding, Lauri Markkanen is someone who will help the Jazz make it close with Walker Kessler. Whenever Kessler or Collins gets a blocked shot, Markkanen can grab it and run down the floor or switch in the middle to grab missed attempts by Dallas. Knowing that his season average is 6.3 boards a night, he should get well over that limit in this game against a less physical forward against him.

Mavericks vs Jazz Injury News & Impact

Dallas Mavericks Injuries: As the Mavs will continue being with P.J. Washington, 9.4 points a night, due to a knee injury, Naji Marshall will replace him in this game as the starting power forward. Outside of that, this team should be able to run with their normal rotations to continue dominating on both ends of the floor.

Utah Jazz Injuries: Although this team has been without Taylor Hendricks as their third-string center for a while, they hope to get Walker Kessler back after dealing with hip soreness. If he doesn’t return though, their squad will run with John Collins and continue having the same lineup outside of that.

Mavericks vs Jazz Head-to-Head Trends

As the Mavericks have recently been super dominated in this matchup having won 6 of their 7 matchups vs Utah, this trend should continue. With Dallas having been blown out by the Jazz mostly in these games, 4 of their past victories have ended in a differential of 10 points or more. Seeing that Dallas has only scored less than 100 points once during these games, they should continue dominating on the offensive end. Knowing that the Mavs are 4-1 against the spread vs Utah during their previous 5 games, they should continue improving upon their record.

Mavericks vs Jazz Final Prediction

With Dallas entering this game having a far more dominant roster, they should easily be able to control this matchup from start to finish. As one of the best-scoring teams in the league, the Mavs will once again be led by Luka Doncic’s elite abilities to finish with ease. Given that Keyonte George will be on him, his speed and great ball skills will help him create great mid-range plus long distant shots. Having someone like Kyrie Irving right next to him, this duo will be unstoppable once again as Irving possesses a lot of the same skills. While Doncic is a great all-around offensive weapon, Kyrie has great dribbling abilities as well and always seems to use his small, shifty frame as an advantage to finish against bigger defenders. Going up against an offensively-minded Collin Sexton, he should continue dominating with his great ability to create space from long-range and get others involved. As Irving will also have great on-ball defense by knocking a lot of balls away from Sexton, it will lead to extra possessions for Dallas. Looking at Klay Thompson's ability to shoot from the three and play solid minutes defensively, his addition should help this Dallas roster have control over a very new Cody Williams. Although the Jazz will have an advantage with Lauri Markannen being way more efficient and stronger than Naji Marshall, the Mavs power forward has been able to show up with some efficient scoring on his end too. As the Jazz will potentially get Walker Kessler back in this game, his one-two punch with John Collins of the bench does give this Utah squad some presence in the middle but doesn’t match Dallas’s intensity. Seeing that the Mavericks have Daniel Gafford’s defensive ability and Derreck Lively’s great presence inside the paint as a constant scoring threat, it will cause a ton of mismatches due to both of them being bigger than Utah’s pieces. Knowing this, the only way the Jazz keep this game within striking distance is if Johnny Juzang and Kyle Filipkowski continue dominating the middle.

Our prediction: The Dallas Mavericks win and cover their -6.5 spread, while the score will go over 230 points.
