As the Golden State Warriors have looked to regain offensive form once again in their 139-point performance against the Portland Trail Blazers, Steve Kerr has created great plays for this offense pick-and-roll game. Even though Stephen Curry only put in 17 points in their first game, he showed a great ability to pass with 10 assists and great leadership by having a near triple-double which is what his team needed. As he and Andrew Wiggins, 20 points, really created a great offensive duo like they had in 2022, it is something to keep an eye on as the season goes on. Draymond Green, 8 points with 6 rebounds, came up big in his limited time and adjusted well as a physical threat who shut down some of the better in his first game. Trayce Jackson-Davis, 14 points and 4 rebounds, really showed growth as an off-the-ball scorer and spot-up three-point-shooter who could already dominate in the paint. Seeing someone like Brandin Podziemski, 7 rebounds and 4 assists, not relying upon just his shooting opened up room for Buddy Hield, 22 points, to continue becoming their most consistent three-point shooter.  If Johnathon Kuminga can continue playing at a high level, there is a chance for this side to be a shocking finals team.

On the other end, the Utah Jazz continued developing as they played a very tight game against a potential contender in Memphis. With Lauri Markkannen, 35 points, really proving to be a star scorer, his role will be something that this Utah squad will continue building around.
