After missing out on the Premier League Title last year, Mikel Arteta and Arsenal are determined to claim the Premier League trophy this season.

Emirates Stadium was sold out to welcome the Gunners for this season, and their players gave them exactly what they had come to watch.

Arsenal made a flying start to their new season by beating Wolves in the opening fixture.

German forward Kai Havertz put Arsenal ahead in the match's first half, and Bukayo Saka sealed the win for the Gunners in the latter part of the game.

It was a game of these two forwards, and a notable contributor to keeping this scoreline safe was David Raya. The Spaniard Goalkeeper was sublime throughout the game.

Coming back to the goalscorers, Havertz’s opener for Arsenal was his 33rd Premier League goal, with only Ilkay Gündogan(44) netting more among German players in the competition (Mesut Özil also 33).

Bukayo Saka ended the game with five chances created in total and a needless yellow card.

The other teams will surely gonna have to close him down if they want to stop the Arsenal attack.

If given a space, Bukayo Saka can haunt you.

Speaking with media after the game, Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta was delighted with his team’s performance:

“First half we were really good,” he said. “Really aggressive, really intense. A lot of purpose to our attack.  A lot of threat in the box.

“We generated a lot. We probably should have scored two or three. In the second half, we became a bit sloppy. We had some giveaways, and the game was more open. Bukayo had an unbelievable action to score the 2-0.

“What I see is the willingness. We started well in the first game. With the first game, you are uncertain about how you will respond against a difficult opponent. Score two, clean sheet, win.”
